Stoven

Introduction

A separate parish until the 19th century. It has since been amalgamated with Brampton. Recorded in Domesday as "Stouone" or "Stoune". John Speed's 1610 map shows the village as "Stoen".

The G2 listed parish church, St Margaret's, is in part a medieval church with various Victorian additions.
