Please note that due to the pandemic currently being allowed to run out of control, many pubs are having to close temporarily or restrict their trading hours due to staff sickness or self-isolation. Please check with the pubs if you plan to travel any distance.

Introduction

A new parish, created from outlying areas of Freckenham and Worlington. The settlement lies just off the A11.

Palaeolithic handaxes and implements, and a Neolithic tool have been excavated from Red Lodge Heath.

We believe the parish was named after the pub, which pre-dates it.
