With just 40 people in 7 houses this is one of the smallest parishes in the county. St Peter's Hall, former home of the Tasburghs, a local landed family, in the parish of St Peter. One of a group of settlements to south of Bungay known collectively as "the Saints", which were recorded in Domesday variously as "Almeham", "Almaham", "Elmeham" and "Halmeham.
