Brampton
Introduction
Most of the housing and one former pub of this sparsely-populated parish is grouped around the A145 Halesworth to Beccles road. The railway station is over a mile further north west. Brampton was recorded in Domesday as "Bramtuna".
If you're planning to visit Brampton by train, please note that the station is a request-only stop, so make sure you get the train conductor to ask the driver to stop here for you.
History
In 1844 White's Directory Thomas Suggate is listed as a beer house keeper.
In 1865 Samuel Adams was listed as a beer retailer.
