A comfortable village pub with a large dining area. It's been closed since (we think) early-2017 and was seen to be for sale when visited in July of that year. In October it was found in an advertisement with all signage removed and being marketed as a "Former Village Pub", so it would appear unlikely to reopen.

As of August 2018, there is a campaign to buy the pub and run it as a community pub. Anyone interested can join The Race for the Racehorse and follow progress on www.westhallpub.com.

The pub is shown on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. larger map
