Ipswich Cross Innhistorical era: Victorian / Edwardian
closed about 1775
The Cross Tavern was a prominent inn on the corn hill until it closed about 1775.
The building was then converted into Waterloo house (later Old Waterloo house)which was a retail shop. The building was subsequently demolished in the late 1880s to make way for the current Lloyd's Bank building.
