The Blue Lagoon was a short-lived wine bar on the dockside, located underneath snooker rooms in a former warehouse. The building was demolished in 2008 to provide a new extension for the neighbouring Salthouse Hotel.
Spud's Shack was fitted out to look like a wooden beach shack complete with a timber framed veranda, sandy beach area, continuous Beach Boys music and about half of a VW camper van (used to serve food).
Later the bar was refitted to become the more sophisticated Blue lagoon wine bar.
