Burstall Half Moon
also traded as as: Half Moon & Starhistorical era: late 20th century
closed October 3rd, 1971
Closure date from the Orwell licensing records. Correspondence in the licensing records shows that Sylvia Bloom, who had been Tolly Cobbold's tenant, bought the pub from the brewery in January 1971. Unfortunately she died later that year and the pub was subsequently closed.
The pub can be seen here on an old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. larger map
