Beccles Cross Keyshistorical era: mid 20th century
opened 1730 or earlier
closed between 1965 and 1974
This building seems to be a rebuild of the pub, which is listed as far back as 1730, as it was described as "newly erected" at a sale in 1855.
It's still listed in licensing records as late as 1965, though other records suggest it had closd by 1974.
The address we list is from the 1909 rates records. It's shown (but not named) on this OS town plan of 1884.
