Beccles George & Dragon
also traded as as: Adam & Evehistorical era: Victorian / Edwardian
opened 1728 or earlier
First mentioned in records of 1728 when it was the Adam & Eve. It became the George & Dragon about 1795. It closed in 1904 and the license was transferred to the Ingate.
A pub appears at this spot on the 1884 OS town plan. This seems likely to have been the George & Dragon. If you can confirm or refute this, please let us know.
