It's shown (though not named) on this OS town plan of 1884 (larger map).
The Ship Inn is shown as a pub on the 1969 OS map but seems to be gone by the 1980 sheet, so presumably closed some time between those dates. Just to confuse the casual visitor, the building still displays pub signage (which is actually quite new).

The Beccles Brewery was sold with a house, gardens, building plots, a hotel [Kings Head] and 32 public houses previously owned by Frederick William Farr, at the Kings Head in Beccles on 28 Apr 1852. See Suffolk Archives Ref: 559/1 - This sale included the Ship, Quay, Beccles [landlord William Crowfoot]
On May 8th 1906 planning permission was approved for alterations to the Ship Inn.
