Nathan Grimmer, a beer house keeper in Mustow Street, was convicted and fined 20s for an assault on Mary Curtis who went to his house for her husband who was drinking and spending his earnings with common prostitutes in Grimmer's house.
Mr John Dooley is reported as dying aged 40 at the Jolly Waggoners in Mustow street in Bury & Norwich Post on 19 May 1847.
In Suffolk & Essex Press on 11 Dec 1856: Henry Farrow of Lawshall and Sarah his wife were charged with stealing a tea caddy, the property of Mrs Dooley at the Jolly Waggoner. PC Graves found the property was pledged to a Mr Steel by Sarah Farrow for 1 shilling whilst Henry Farrow had requested an advance of 6d upon it. Both remanded for a week.…
