34 Waterworks St
Researching my family tree on my Grandfathers side I came across one of his brothers --,Samuel Edgar Charles Smith -- who in the 1891 census was living at 3 Angel Lane/ Duke of Edinburgh as a publican & grocer.
By 1911 census he had become a gas work fitter/ gas lamp lighter so had left the Duke of Edinburgh. From Albert Goodchild
The pub is also listed at 3 Angel Lane (1891 census).
Demolished in 1938.

Note: Waterworks St. originally included the part of Star Lane running east from where it now starts. The pub has also been reported as being in Angel Lane; it stood at the junction of the two.
