Although the government has now allowed pubs to reopen, many are still unable to do so safely, while most if not all are only able to accommodate limited numbers of customers. Many of them are still reliant on providing takeaway food and/or drinks. Some offer deliveries, while others are selling from the premises. This page lists details of those we know about.

If you can give any of our pubs some support through these difficult times by buying some takeaway food or drink, please do so. Our pubs need as much support as possible if they're going to still be there for us when the crisis is over.

Closed between 1904 and 1927

12 or 13? Tacket St

grid reference TM 165 444

The Grapes is shown at this location on the 1883 OS town plan. It's still shown on the 1904 sheet but seems to have gone by 1927. The building now on-site probably dates from the period between those latter two maps as its shape has clearly changed from the 1904 shape, when seen on the 1927 map.

The pub was recorded at 10-11 Tacket Street in 1881 census.

It's shown on this 1884 OS town plan.
