The Permit Office Street address is from the 1910 Ipswich Rate book. This street ran east from Cox Lane, roughly where the exit lane from the car park can be seen on today's maps. The pub has also been listed at Cox Lane.
The closure date is recorded in the Borough Police licensed premises register 1903-1923. The building is not shown as a pub in the 1911 census.
