The Red Lion is also reported in St Margaret's Street, but was more likely to have been in Carr Street, as the Borough Police licensed premises register shows that a bobby on beat number 2 would walk past the Beehive, the Red Lion, the Lyceum Tavern and the Salutation. (Perhaps it had an entrance either side?)
