Located close to the junction with Lady lane.
The pub has also been reported at St George's Street.
The Mount ran roughly from what's now the east end of Handford Road through to the junction of Elm Street and Black Horse Lane.
The Royal Standard was closed as a result of a compulsory purchase order by the council. It was subsequently demolished as part of the Civic drive road development.
