The pub has also been listed at 8 Regent Street, but the address in the 1909 Ipswich Rate book is 37 East Street, which would seem more definitive. Presumably on the corner?
The 1871 census lists the St Helens Pride Beer House at 8 Regent Street and 37 East Street as two houses, but as a single household.
East Street is an old name for the eastern end of what's now Rope Walk.
