Now a private residence, the pub was built late in the 18th century.
It reportedly stood "opposite the vicarage"; our photo and map location show what we think was the pub - if you can confirm or refute this, please let us know.
The 1904 Woodbridge licensing records show that the Brickmakers Arms' beerhouse license was issued in 1863. License renewal was refused in 1909.
An earlier Brickmakers Arms's beerhouse was located nearby at Drybridge Hill corner.

Jacob Button, a beer house keeper of Seckford St, Woodbridge, was found guilty of unlawfully selling beer before half past twelve on a Sunday morning. Button claimed that the man the police had seen standing at his door receiving a can of beer had paid for it on the previous day and was, therefore, only collecting it. Button was fined£4 and 10s 6d costs. Ipswich Journal, July 1875**
Button appealed against an earlier conviction for serving beer during prohibited hours. The case was upheld.Ipswich Journal, 23 Oct 1875**
