Newmarket Rising Sun
also traded as as: Sunhistorical era: date unknown
The Rising Sun is also listed at Lower Station Road, and at Sandpit Lane in 1855.
The 1902 OS map shows a pub at this location; we're assuming it was the Rising Sun, as the location fits (All Saints Rd used to be called Lower Station Road). However, all buildings here now are modern, so the pub must have been demolished if this is correct. Alternatively, this may be an older name for Unique, which we know occupies a much older pub.
It was listed as the Sun in the 1871 census.
This old OS map shows what may have been the Rising Sun (larger map)
