Redgrave Fox & Hounds
also traded as as: Foxhistorical era: Victorian / Edwardian
Having examined the Hartismere licensing records from 1923 to 1962 and found no trace of this pub, we conclude it must have closed before 1923. This is confirmed by the 1909 Rates book which lists the building as "former Fox & Hounds". The building is now residential and called Fox House.
The Fox & Hounds is named on this 1886 OS map, though the map doesn't make its location clear.
This old OS map from about the end of the 19th century (larger map) makes its location clear, while not actually naming the pub.
