The majority of pubs have now reopened after the latest lockdown, albeit still with restrictions. Many pubs currently have temporary trading hours; these are shown where known. We also show pubs we know have still not reopened as temporarily closed.

Please note that due to the pandemic currently being allowed to run out of control, many pubs are having to close temporarily due to staff or customers getting "pinged". Please check with the pubs if you plan to travel any distance.

Buck's Horns Ln

grid reference TM 130 409

The Buck's Horns appears on the 1830 OS map, but is not on the 1921 map.

The Orwell licensing records show it open at least as late as 1973, but those examined (1967-1973) show it only as an off-sales outlet. Perhaps the change on the OS map reflects a change from on to off status?

According to the Belstead Millennium Survey, the building dates from the 17th century.

The pub can be seen on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. interactive map
