Formerly a two bar pub, which had one bar for drinking, whilst the other was mainly for dining and had a cheering, open fire in winter. The main drinking area also had a pool table and a comfortable mix of furniture and decorative items. It was easy to relax and feel at home here.

The pub is shown on this old OS map from about 1903 (larger map)
