The pub (along with Baythorn Grove) is shown on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. interactive map

This is no longer a pub and I believe it closed some 50 odd years ago. The building is relatively unchanged from my recollection having flint walls and a column each side of the doorway. The location shown is not far out but the building is on the West side of the road and close to the junction.from Peter Rowlinson

However, a smaller building next door carries a plaque saying "The Traveller's Rest". Looking at the 1896 OS map, this is actually the pub - the fint-faced building described by Peter is called Baythorn Grove.
