No application for renewal of the license was lodged in 1964, giving us a fair idea when it closed. The building is now residential.
It isn't clear whether the pub took up all or part of the building. The home on the left is called "Wheatsheaf Cottage", whereas that on the right has a sign saying "The Wheatsheaf". Old maps don't make things clear, though they seem to suggest that if it was only part of the building, it was probably the section on the left.
