Whepstead Peartree

historical era: mid 20th century

closed between 1959 and 1978?

The Peartree is now a B&B. It's shown on OS maps as a beerhouse at least as late as 1952; by the 1978 sheet it's just shown as "Pear Trees", suggesting it probably closed between those dates.

It can be seen on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. larger map
