A modern multi-level bar set in former tea rooms that date back to about 1880s, with a restaurant. An interesting selection of real ales (some from small local brewers) was available.
From December 2011 to early May 2012 the bar was run by St Jude's brewery (of Ipswich) who increased the beer range to a maximum of 30 (though usually fewer) but making for a while probably the biggest real ale selection available in a single bar in Suffolk. Sadly due to trading difficulties the St Jude's business closed.
Now converted into a fish & chips restaurant.
