Debenham Buck's Head
Debenham Buck's Head
also traded as Buck Inn
West, 52.2246,1.18157
Closed: unknown era
27 High St
grid reference TM 173 632
Parts of the building date from the 16th century, though much has been subsequently added. According to the Listed Buildings Register, the inn was actually to the rear of the building fronting the road. This makes it inaccessible.
To the rear of the building, not visible from the road is a grandstand dating from the early 17th century. The building gets the rare Grade II* listing because the grandstand is thought to be the only surviving example of a grandstand associated with innyard entertainment.
