Bury St Edmunds Possible old pub
Bury St Edmunds Possible old pub
North East, 52.24061,0.72007
Speculative: was this a pub? It looks as if it may have been.
148-149 Southgate St
grid reference TL 858 637
This building looks very much as if it must have been an old carriers' inn. If you can identify it or say for certain it was never a pub, please get in touch. The 1886 OS map shows malthouses (now apparently demolished) to the rear of this building.
The building dates from the 16th century and is currently called Gramercy Cottage.
