Lowestoft Hop House
also traded as as: O'Reilly's, Greenfields, Grizzly's, Prospecthistorical era: 21st century
closed about 2013
95-98 High St
This was a large, short-lived pub which managed to go through a surprising number of guises in the time it was licensed.
It seems first to have operated as O'Reilly's, which was closed and boarded up when we visited it in the summer of 2008.
By 2009 it was trading as Greenfields (presumably related in some way to the other Greenfields in Surrey Street).
In April 2011 we found it had become an American bar & grill and renamed Grizzly's.
When visited in July 2011 it had again been renamed and was called the Prospect.
In 2012 it became the Hop House, which itself was found closed and on the market in July 2013.
When next visited in 2016 it was no longer a bar and had been converted into a café.
