Great Ashfield Thurlow Armshistorical era: late 20th century

Now residential, the Thurlow Arms was in the hamlet of Long Thurlow, which sits partly in Badwell Ash and partly in Great Ashfield.

The sale by auction of the Thurlow Arms in Great Ashfield, including farm premises, two cottages and 42a 2r 31p of accommodation land to Mr E W Lake acting for Messrs. Greene, King, and Sons for £1425.Ipswich Journal, August 1895**
In the March 1982 edition of Last Orders*** it was reported that a fire had gutted an outbuilding of the Greene King owned Thurlow Arms - the third fire here in recent months. The pub was subsequently closed.
