The Queen's Head was advertised for demolition in the Ipswich Journal (December 1857 & March 1858), soon after it finally closed.
A new pub of the same name opened in Station Road soon afterwards.
Historical interest
All that capital ancient and spacious inn called the Queens head in Stowmarket, well situated for the market and road and now in full trade with a large yard and good stables, thereto belonging and adjoining, now in possession of Mr Lewis Hunt who will show the premises.
