An ex-Lacons Inn which is on the outskirts of town opposite Beccles Cemetery (a 15 minute walk from town centre) serving up to six guest ales normally from East Anglian breweries such as Green Jack, St Peters and Woodfordes The pub is keen to try out new local breweries and host regular "meet the brewer" events. Live Jazz 1st Sunday of most months + other live music, regular monthly quiz nights, Open Mic nights and charity events. The pub originally comprised lounge and public bars both with a bay window, one of which was removed and re-sited when the building was extended. The pub is now open plan with the bar and real fire in the original part of the building and pool tables in the extended area. Customers are welcome to bring their own meals to eat on the premises.
