Haverhill White Hart
also traded as as: Old White Harthistorical era: 21st century
closed February 2013
last owner Ind Coope
70 High St, CB9 8AR
The pub was found boarded up, with "sold" signs when visited in June 2013.
The upper floor has since been converted into flats, with a property management/estate agency on the ground floor.
The original White Hart was on the corner of Duddery Hill and High St. and was the only Suffolk pub owned by Hawkes & Company, Brewers, Wine & Spirit merchants, from Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. It was demolished about 1963 and rebuilt further back from the road, on or near the site of the Butcher's Arms, which was demolished at about the same time.
