Historical interest
The 1851 to 1871 census entries in the landlord section probably refer to this pub, but have not been confirmed. They are all listed in Austin Street in St Mary at the Elm civil parish. The 1851 entry matches the named person (Mr Green) in the Ipswich Journal report, but not the occupation.
References to Austin Street in St Mary at the Elm civil parish have not been found after the 1871 census.
