Closed: unknown era
Blyburgate

No details are known. It's listed as "beerhouse (no sign)" in the 1909 ratings records adjacent to number 23 (we're not sure which side). It was owned by the Colchester Brewery.
A Smith, in his paper "Inns of Beccles in 1929" (kindly supplied by Daryl Ling) tells us this was known as Dickerson's Beerhouse after its keeper. Smith also gives us the closure date.
Historical interest
Note: Landlord entries for 1911 & 1916 are for 23 Blyburgate Street, which have been assumed to refer to this pub. If you can confirm or refute this, please let us know.
