Beccles Burton's Stores
also traded as as: Blue Bell?historical era: date unknown
This was listed in the 1909 rating records as a pub owned by Ind Coope. Unfortunately the name is illegible due to poor handwriting in the rate book, but it's described as "late Hungate Stores", so presumably only converted to a pub shortly before this date. It's listed as the Blue Bell from 1753 to before 1788 ("formerly called the Blue Bell") though it isn't clear if this was a pub.
Our photo and map location show where this pub would have been assuming the numbering scheme is unchanged. It's not clear whether this is a more modern building or the original one re-faced. If you can clear any of this up, please let us know.
