Clopton Mount Pleasanthistorical era: Victorian / Edwardian
off Grundisburgh Rd
Little is known, apart from the fact that the pub apparently closed some time about the beginning of the 20th century. It isn't mentioned in the 1909 Rates book and isn't listed in the 1904 licensing records so must have closed before 1904.
Mount Pleasant is shown here on the OS map from some time between 1892 and 1905. It's shown on today's maps as Clopton House.
The 1891 census identifies Mount Pleasant on Woodbridge Road, but it is not shown as a pub.
