Although the government has now allowed pubs to reopen, many are still unable to do so safely, while most if not all are only able to accommodate limited numbers of customers. Many of them are still reliant on providing takeaway food and/or drinks. Some offer deliveries, while others are selling from the premises. This page lists details of those we know about.

If you can give any of our pubs some support through these difficult times by buying some takeaway food or drink, please do so. Our pubs need as much support as possible if they're going to still be there for us when the crisis is over.

Ipswich Beer House

Ipswich Beer House

Closed 1840-1920

45 Felixstowe Rd

grid reference TM178437

All we know about this short-lived beer house is a newspaper report:

Herbert Henry Todd, of 45 Felixstowe Road, applied for a beer license in respect of his house. Mr H R Sadd (for Mr W C Block) supported the application and said that the house had held a license some years ago but it had lapsed for private reasons. The Magistrates granted the application.Ipswich Journal, September 1890**

Assuming the numbering scheme is unchanged the address would place it at the corner of Alston Road.
