Icklingham Plough Innhistorical era: 21st century
The St (A1101), IP28 6PL
Flint faced cottages were converted into the current pub. Moorings to the rear dealt with river traffic on its way to Bury.
The pub was well respected for its food.
The pub has been closed since at least October 2011. A caller to Lesley Dolphin's BBC Radio Suffolk programme reports that there are plans to renovate and reopen the Plough, but it may be well into the future.
In mid-2017, planning permission to convert the pub to residential use and build more houses on the land was applied for.
