Adrian Pye tells us
The Racehorse was at 42, Grove Road, then called Ingate Road. The name changed to Grove Road in 1936.
The building now at 42 Grove Road is a modern block of flats, so it seems likely the pub has been demolished.
A Smith's paper "Inns of Beccles in 1929" tells us that "this would no doubt get its name by being near the common where Beccles races used to be held and it must have closed soon after the races were discontinued about 60 or 70 years ago.
Census locations suggest that the Race Horse (1861), Blacksmith's Arms (by 1881) and Victoria Arms (by 1891) may all be the same pub. If you can confirm or refute this, please let us know.
