Closed: before 1840

Market Hill

grid reference TM 284 634

The Duck & Mallard is mentioned in an un-dated document at the Suffolk Record Office as still existing in 1912, with the site now (whenever "now" was) occupied by a butcher's shop on Market Hill. Possibly Hall Farm Butcher's at number 25?

Our photograph and map location show what would have been the Duck & Mallard if the above assumption is correct. If you can confirm or refute this, please let us know.
