According to A Survey of Suffolk Parish History, a beerhouse was recorded in Barsham in 1844. No further information is currently known.

White's Directory of 1844 lists: Barsham, Samuel Candler - blacksmith and beerhouse proprietor. Old OS maps show a smithy just to the south west of Barsham Bridge; it seems logical that his beerhouse was near his smithy, so it could well have been in the same area.
