Beccles White Lion

3 The Walk
One of three pubs through the centuries to have the White Lion name, this was recorded at least as far back as 1681 as the Angel. About 1774 it was renamed the White Lion, with the name transferring from another nearby pub. It isn't clear when it closed, but records show it still open at least as late as 1792.
Our photo and map location assume the numbering scheme is unchanged, though next door at number four is a building which looks very pub-like, so perhaps that was the White Lion?
