Closed: between 1840 and 1920
According to reports in the Ipswich Journal: by 1865 both a Railway tavern and a Station hotel had opened in Halesworth. However was the Railway tavern a very short lived pub? And why by 1875 was the Station hotel also being occasionally called the Railway hotel? Can you assist in clarifying this issue?
