Thanks to Len Woolf for helping us tie the Lattice Barn with the Britannia.
The pub is the closest bar to the Heath Rd hospital complex. Some of the nearest health buildings are actually remnants of the Heath Road Workhouse (built in 1896 by George Grimwood & Son) which could accommodate 369 inmates until it became part of the Ipswich Borough General Infirmary in 1930.
