Ipswich Sorrel Horse
North West, 52.05312,1.16286
Closed: about 1977
121 Fore St
grid reference TM 169 441
The pub is shown on this OS town plan from about 1880 (larger map).
Old photographs show that the pub had a small single-storey frontage onto Fore Street and a cart entrance, but this has since been rebuilt or remodelled.
The 1963-1977 Ipswich licensing records show that the Sorrel Horse was open at least as late as 1977.
The former Sorrel Horse site is now used for a mixture of residential housing and office units.
