"The Jollies" was a characterful drinkers' pub, which was popular with staff from the nearby BT computer centre on Bibb Way and probably suffered as staffing at that site was wound down.

It finally closed August 2012 after having been periodically open and closed for several years. It was demolished mid-December 2012 and has since been replaced by a supermarket.
