Market Place, CO10 9QZ
The Angel was first licensed in 1420 (although the building probably dates from at least two centuries earlier) and stands in the ancient market area at the centre of this historic village. Four local real ales are always on tap and these together with a good wine list, complement the food for which the Angel is renowned. An à la carte menu using local produce is available.
Eight well equipped en suite bedrooms and a stunning residents sitting room ensure it is also a comfortable place to stay. Ask to see the medieval vaulted cellars during quiet periods. Piano is played occasionally. Games in the public area include dominoes and many board games.
