A former coaching inn with open fireplaces & patio at rear. After as period of uncertainty the pub has now been purchased, completely refurbished and is now open again (July 2016). Alex and Rebecca Bourne are the new owners. The food menu is being ramped up and they have a chef and front of house husband and wife team who have previously worked at the Jamie Oliver Italian in Cambridge. Real ales at opening were Doombar, Atlantic and Blue Moon. A village shop is due to open in part of the pub thanks to support from Pubisthehub.

The building dates from the 17th century.
